Keishi-ninjintou® is a Chinese drug that had unique properties on peripheral microvasculature and connective tissue for enlarging microvasculature and decreasing edematous change. The pathological change of late complication of radiotherapy is considered as progressive disturbance of peripheral microvasculature, blood flow and lymphatic flow. We report a case of progressive severe dysphagia induced as late complication 28 years after radiotherapy for mesopharyngeal malignant lymphoma. The opening of the cervical esophagus was severely restricted by fibrous changes and laryngeal elevation was disturbed by adhesive and fibrous changes of the cervical skin and muscles around the larynx and the hyoid bone. After the administration of Keishi-ninjintou®,the opening of the cervical esophagus and the laryngeal elevation were improved, and swallowing disorder was decreased for two years.
