I．緒言

　Best^1）により記載された遺伝性黄斑変性（Best型）の初期に，黄斑部に卵円形で境界鮮明な嚢腫様の検眼鏡所見が認められ，これが卵黄に似ているという理由からZahnen^2）らがKyste vitelli—fome congénital de la maculaと呼んで以来，最近では卵黄様黄斑変性Vitelliform degerationof the maculaという呼び名が広く用いられ，François^3）らによれば欧米においては約60名の報告があるといわれる。わが国では私どもの調べた範囲では，湯口謹治^4）の1例がこれに相当すると推定されるが，他には報告が見当らない。外国の報告でも，初期の卵黄様病巣の所見の解釈については釈然とした説明はない。私どもはこの疾患と思われる3例を経験し，螢光眼底写真撮影を行ない，卵黄様の病巣所見の解釈に知見を得たと思うので，報告する。

Vitelliform macular degeneration was seen bilaterally in 3 female patients. In all cases visual acuity and color vision was normal. No central scotoma was found even for small white or colored objects. Dark adaptation and ERG studies were also normal. In one case nodular corneal dystrophy was observed in the patientand her family. The results of extensive gen-eral examination was absolutely negative. Per-oral administration of beta-methasone for 10 days showed no effect. Fluorescein angiographic study of the macular lesion revealed detachment of the pigment epithelium of the retina.
